Home in Sunny Selsey (1)

As you know if you are following my blog, I am not onboard a cruise ship at the moment. I have been home in sunny Selsey! I am loving having my feet on the ground and enjoying life on land.

So, what have I been doing?

I have been in the UK in my home town seeing my friends and family, drinking lots of tea and eating all my favourite foods that I missed while away.

I grew up in a small town called Selsey in the county of West Sussex which is in the South of England and most people have never heard of it!

Selsey is not a place that you would end up in by mistake, as there is one road that takes you in and out.

It has been lovely coming back after 129 days away,  going from country to country and coming home to a decent cup of tea!

Then I flew into Heathrow airport it was grey! Of course! But then by the afternoon and the rest of week, it was warm and sunny and when it is like that I think Selsey is the best place in the world.

Unfortunately, Selsey is in England so that is not the case all year round. The Selsey climate is great when the weather is good and compared to other parts of the country.

I have enjoyed many hot summers over the years and I remember when I first brought my Italian husband to Selsey and he didn’t put any sunscreen on ‘as its England’ of course he looked like lobster later that day!

Selsey is surrounded by the beach mainly shingle (pebbles) and some sand. So, it’s beautiful to walk around.

The main focal point was the RNLI Lifeboat Station, but unfortunately, they are taking it down due to a new size lifeboat. Such a shame as it really was a Selsey landmark.

If you have heard of Selsey it might be because you have stayed at the large caravan park. It is right on the beach on the west side of Selsey.

Selsey is a beautiful picturesque small seaside town that is perfect if you like a quiet town to vacation in and if you are not from the UK, I’m sure you would love Selsey.

Happy Travels

I admit I have never heard of Selsey – but it looks beautiful. So blue!

Funnily enough, I have ended up in Selsey by mistake! Due to my poor navigational skills (I was guessing which road to take, following the general direction) on the way to Witterings; we didn’t get out and have a look around but I wish we had as your photos are lovely!

Easily done if the traffic is busy to the Witterings! Shame you didn’t have a look, next time! Have a lovely weekend : )
