THE OFFICER WIFE SERIES – TRAVEL & CRUISE TIPS – PART 5 - Lucy Williams Global

Welcome to part five of the Sunday feature on my blog The Officer Wife Series Travel & Cruise Tips Q & A. As you know I travel the world on a cruise ship with my husband, who is an officer on a cruise ship. This is why I thought this would be a fun Sunday feature with my friends that also are officer wives.

This week we will feature Sophie, she is from the UK and she travels with her husband onboard, most of the year. Sophie was formally a dancer onboard and retired a few years ago to travel alongside her husband around the world. She is an is an expert in cruising, dancing and beauty products.

LET’S SEE WHAT TRAVEL AND CRUISE TIPS SOPHIE HAS FOR YOU.

What is your favourite place in the world?

There are so many it would be hard to pinpoint just one! One of my biggest passions is to travel, but also I love to come home too! I strongly believe home is where the heart is and being surrounded by family and close friends is always my favourite place to be!

What is your favourite cruise?

There are a few! I love the Mediterranean, Australia and South Pacific!

What is your favourite part of cruising?

Going out, in port and exploring new places, and re-visiting old favourites and creating new memories. I also look forward to meeting up with old friends I have met whilst travelling when we are lucky enough to re-visit their hometowns/countries again years later!

How many countries have you been to?

I’ve lost count and I really wished I’d kept track, but I’m guessing around 90.

What are the beauty products that you cannot travel without?

My Nuskin Products (there’s a long list!) but my essentials are Epoch Mud Mask, Galvanic Spa, Nu Mascara and Plumping Lip gloss!

Do you have any packing tips?

Roll everything! (And offer to pack for the hubby and sneak some dresses and shoes into his luggage too!)

Do you keep healthy or eat what you like when travelling onboard?

I try to eat healthily. I have just cereal in the cabin for breakfast, a small lunch and usually treat myself to a
nice dinner with a glass or two of vino in the evening! I usually skip dessert and just opt for a fruit plate instead!

Do you exercise when onboard, if so what you do to keep fit?

Definitely, try to keep healthy; being an ex-dancer I like to stay in shape. I’m not a big fan of the gym but have grown to ‘love’ it and try to fit at least an hour into my day especially on a sea day! I also like to follow fitness video programs I have on my laptop. I find they are more motivating and fun rather than just simply going to the
gym!

What do you do with your time onboard?

Since ‘retiring’ from dancing after 15 years dancing onboard ships, I wanted to do something to keep me busy during the day whilst still travelling onboard with my husband. I came across an ideal business opportunity for me which consisted of beauty products and social media. When I realised I could manage this business from wherever I am in the world I jumped at the chance!

I am now a distributor for a successful American pharmaceutical company with a small but mighty team of ladies from all around the world.

If you would like to know more about my business and the amazing products I sell please contact me via my Facebook page – Sophie Magrin or via my email sophieL24@hotmail.com

I am always looking for new team members to join my dynamic international team, so if you are looking for an exciting new business opportunity working full or part-time from home, please get in touch and I will explain more. I would love to hear from you!

More About Sophie

As a child I started dancing at the age of 3 and growing up I always wanted to travel, so to be able to combine the two by working onboard Cruise ships was a dream come true!

I definitely had the time of my life dancing onboard from the age of 22. I have made lifelong friends from all around the world and feel so lucky to have met my wonderful husband in 2004 onboard.

I do miss dancing, but feel fortunate to be able to travel onboard with my Husband and visit exciting places around the world making lasting memories together!

I hope you enjoyed reading part five of the Officer Wife Series with Sophie. She offered some great travel and cruise tips.
