I cannot believe September has rolled in! Where has the year gone? I feel like I’m saying this every year, it must mean I am getting older and time is going faster. Do you feel like this too?
Thank you!
I thought it was time for a general update post to reconnect with all my lovely followers and a time to say thank you to you for reading and supporting my travel blog, as without you all there would be no blog.
New Readers & Recap
If you are new to reading my blog ‘Lucy Williams Global – The Travelling Wife Cruising Around the World’, let me introduce myself I’m Lucy from the UK. My husband works onboard a cruise ship and I travel alongside him. He works, I sightsee!
We met when I was still working onboard, I continued to work onboard for nearly 10 years, then the last 3 years I have been just travelling with my husband. 19 months ago, I started this blog, as I thought I had a lot to share between my knowledge of working onboard and travelling onboard as I have seen cruising from both perspectives.
While I’m home I spend it between Italy and England, he’s Italian and I’m British. To read more of my story check out my about page, before I bore you too much!

Sharing My Knowledge
My goal is to give you inside cruise tips and port tips from my cruise travels from around the world. But I don’t stop when I’m home! I write in-depth about my time in Italy and England and if I go on a normal vacation I give the low down on that too.
Back to the update!
I spent most of my summer in Italy and a quick trip to Amsterdam and England. Coming up on the blog will be more cruise tips, my Italian summer between Monterosso in Cinque Terre, Siena in Tuscany, Lake Como, Genoa and general helpful Italy tips. Alternative Amsterdam tours and I think I need to write about my hometown in England as every time I put up a photo people always ask where it is!
I am back on my travels again after a very long flight to Seattle cruising around Alaska. It is nice being back in Alaska after the heat wave in Europe. I love wearing my jeans again and not feeling hot and sticky, for now anyway until we sail towards Hawaii!
It is great being back onboard, so I do not have to cook and clean, as my husband says I am the worst housewife! I like to cook, but not clean, but seriously who does enjoy cleaning?

Welcome back and glad to meet you Lucy! I have only gone on two cruises but had a blast doing it. How is it to live on a cruise ship?

Pleased to meet you to! It has its pros and cons, it’s not one big vacation, but it’s normal life to me as cruise ships have been my life for the last 12 years. But cruising is a great way travel and I’m sure you will be back for more!
