How do you pack a capsule wardrobe for a 7 day cruise to Alaska?
Packing for an Alaskan cruise can be over whelming as the weather can go one way or the other and you need to be prepared.
The trick is sticking to a colour theme this way you cannot go wrong.

Pick Colours for your Alaska cruise capsule wardrobe
When you pack any capsule wardrobe it is all about picking a colour theme so you can mix and match your clothes.
First pick your colours for your capsule wardrobe. You will need base colours for pants/skirts/shorts.
Then 2/3 colours for tops/tees/sweaters/cardigans.
For example you pick black and navy blue for all your bottoms and white, red and green for your tops.
This means not adding any random colours in that doesn’t match anything.
What type of clothes do you need for an Alaskan Cruise?
The next step is figuring out what clothes you are going to need for the Alaska cruise.
Will you be going on tours?
How many formal nights will there be?
Are you going to the dining room or buffet?
Will you be going to the gym or fitness classes?
The main thing in Alaska is to pack layers, as if it is warmer you can take layers off.
It is always better to have more clothes on than not enough.
Alaskan summers are a lot cooler than Californian summers.
My favourite brands of clothing that I use on Alaska cruises are The North Face for jackets fleeces, gloves and backpacks.
Uniqlo for thermal layers, merino wool cardigans/sweaters and their quilted lightweight jackets are the best. They are water-repellent and keep you warm and they come in a little bag that you can pack away nicely.
