The Entertainer Blogger Award

I am very happy to announce I have won another blogging award. I was nominated for The Entertainer Blogger Award by Audrey from the blog Living for Experiences.

My blogging journey has been so exciting and after just 16 months, I now have four awards under my belt and it makes it all worth while

I am very pleased to accept this award from Living for Experiences, it is such an honor to be nominated. Sorry Audrey I was a little late writing this!

Living for Experience is a lifestyle and travel blog. The blog explores how it is possible to make a choice to live a life of simplicity, reduce our possessions, be responsible to the environment and increase self-sufficiency. Pay for experiences and not stuff. Explore new places and enjoy the experiences.

The Entertainer Blogger Award is an award nominated by one blogger to another blogger whom he or she finds fun, inspiring and entertaining.

My Response to the Questions

Why did you start blogging in the first place?

I started blogging because I went on a world cruise and I wanted to share all my experiences from each place I visited. From there it grew into a full on travel blog.

What is your favourite book?

I do not have one favourite book! I like to read true stories and autobiographies.

What do you dislike the most?

Rude people! Manners go a long way.

What is your favourite food at the mall?

I go to the mall very rarely as I’m travelling a lot, but when I go to a mall I like to eat Chinese food or a salad.

What is your favourite pastime?

Travelling, Tai Chi and reading.

The 2017 Liebster Award

I am very excited to announce I have won another blogging award. I was nominated for the 2017 Liebster Award by the blog Beyond Latitudes.

I am very pleased to accept this award from Beyond Latitudes, it is such an honor to be nominated.

I only started blogging at the beginning of this year and I am now very pleased to have three awards under my belt!

When I am writing, sometimes I think is anyone going to read this? So, when I get nominated for these awards it makes it all worth it and to know someone likes what I am writing!

What is the 2017 Liebster Award?

The Liebster Award focuses on recognizing new online bloggers who have shown potential. The Award is only offered online and seeks to promote other online bloggers.

What has been your biggest challenge while blogging?

Learning all about blogging! There is so much more to it, than just writing an article and adding a few photos.

What is your number one tip for other bloggers?

Don’t worry about what everyone else is doing, just concentrate on what you are doing. There is so much noise out there, don’t compare yourself to others.

What are your hobbies other than blogging?

I love to cook and of course travelling!

What successful entrepreneur do you admire and why?

Richard Branson, because of the empire he has achieved.

Who is your favourite blogger and why?

I have two! Helene from Helene in Between because she is very normal and shares all her blogging knowledge, travels and keeps it interesting.

My other favourite blogger is Lauren from The Skinny Confidential as she offers lots of health and beauty tips and easy recipe ideas.

Tell us about your blog and why you started blogging?

My blog is all about travel, cruising and packing tips. The reason why I started my blog was that I wanted to share more than just a few photos on Facebook of my travels.

I went on a world cruise in January this year and I really wanted to share my experiences and tips on what to do in each of the ports I was visiting and that was the start of ‘The Travelling Wife Cruising Around the World’.

What and/or who motivates you to write?

I feel I have a lot to share as I am always travelling and I know a lot about the cruise industry and I haves lots of travel/cruise tips. While I am travelling or at home I get asked a lot of questions so this keeps me motivated to write, as hopefully I am answering someone’s question.

Sunshine Blogger Award

I am very pleased to announce I have won another blogging award. I was nominated for the Sunshine Blogger Award by the lovely Hanna from Rated By Hanna.

I really only started blogging properly at the beginning of this year and I am now so pleased to have two awards under my belt! This award has brought more sunshine into my life!

My given questions and my answers:

1. How many posts do you have sitting in your drafts and or scheduled posts?

I’m awful for this! I have around five blog posts in draft and one scheduled.

2. When and why did you start blogging?

I started properly blogging in January this year. The reason why I started my blog was that I wanted to share more than just a few photos on Facebook of my travels. Also, I was going on a world cruise so I really wanted to share my experiences and tips on what to do in many ports I was visiting.

3. What is the weirdest or worst experience you’ve had at a business?

Going into a well-known designer handbag shop and asking to see a bag. The sales assistant gets one from under the counter all squashed up and not as desirable as the one on display. Shows my husband and myself the bag and it just looked awful!

We didn’t buy the bag! If she had shown me the nice bag on display, we would have bought it, but she made the handbag I had wanted for a long time look cheap their loss!

4. What is on your bucket list for the next 5 years?

Travelling more! I would like to see the Great Wall of China, go back to Japan, Australia and New Zealand. Also, I would like to go to the Maldives for my next big birthday.

5. What topic do you like blogging about most?

Travelling and cruising. I love sharing packing tips!

6. Which blog post are you most proud of?

10 Tips On How to Pack Just Hand Luggage for a Cruise. The reason being it is my most popular article on my blog.

7. How do you stay motivated to keep blogging even when viewership or positive feedback is low?

Just keep going as if a blog is not popular this month, it may be very popular six months down the line. I just keep writing.
