Eating and Drinking My Way Around Santa Barbara California

Eating and Drinking My Way Around Santa Barbara California

Santa Barbara is on the California coast in the USA and is a beautiful city to visit. It has a Mediterranean style of white walls and terracotta tiled roofs, no high risers all set by a long sandy beach.

I was there for one day whilst on a Californian coastal cruise. So, I made the most of my day by going on food and drink tour called Eat This, Shoot That!

We had a great guide that showed us around Santa Barbara, also how to use the features on your smartphone cameras.

Enterprise Fish Co

We went to eight tasting locations around the Funk Zone of Santa Barbara. The first stop was at the Enterprise Fish Co to taste a lobster bisque with pastry on top and it was delicious. The restaurant was set in an old laundry and had an interesting design.

Figueroa Mountain Brewing Co

The second stop was at the Figueroa Mountain Brewing Co to try a beer. This was a bar and we tried our small beer glass of their special brew.

Outside of this bar, there were walls with street art on.

Mony’s Mexican Food

The third stop was at Mony’s Mexican Food to try some tortilla chips and salsa and a chicken taco. This was one of the best tacos have ever had (and I have eaten them a lot in Mexico!)

Shalhoob Meat Co

The fourth stop was at the Shalhoob Meat Co to try a tri-tip beef sandwich. The meat was excellent and the tomato salsa complimented the meat perfectly.

Lucky Penny

The fifth stop was the Lucky Penny to try a flatbread pizza which was a burrito topping. This was very different and yummy! The building is covered with pennies! Hence the name!

Santa Barbara Wine Collective and Helena Avenue Bakery

The sixth and seventh stop was at the Santa Barbara Wine Collective and Helena Avenue Bakery which is on the same site. We tried a white wine and a red wine and bread. Both the wines were very good and the bread and butter was a good compliment to the wine.

Cutler’s Artisan Spirits

The last stop was at the Culter’s Artisan Spirits to try vodka, gin, whisky and a port that tasted like apple pie!

The tour was so fun and every stop tasted amazing and I left very full and happy! I highly recommend going on this tour if you are visiting Santa Barbara. You can find them on Instagram here or on their website here.
